Here is a little tip that I got from popsugar.com to help you unclog your toilet should it get nasty.
By using 2 cups of baking soda, a quarter cup of Epsom salt, about 9 tablespoons of your liquid dish detergent, you can quickly stir up a cool concoction to help you unclog your commode.
Mix together the baking soda and Epsom salts and break up any clumps so that the mixture is smooth. Then add in your liquid dish detergent very slowly. You want your mixture to feel like wet sand. Once you have your mixture together, fill your muffin tins with liners and add your mixture. Press the mixture in very firmly and then let it sit overnight to dry.
Now you have yourself a bunch of bombs to unclog your toilet whenever you need it – and hopefully you will never need it. If you do however, just take a bomb, drop it in the toilet and pour about 4 cups of very hot water over it. Let it sit several hours or overnight is even better.
You can store your bombs in a sealable container kept in a dry area.
