Not Your Ordinary Use For Bleach

Just a shortie here today.    Image

Did you know that you can preserve flowers using a common household cleaning product?  Can you guess what it is?

If you have some pretty flowers that you would like to keep around a little longer before they wilt and have to be thrown away, you can preserve them using bleach.

Preserve fresh cut flowers by using a quarter teaspoon regular bleach to one quart of cold water and stir.  Add this solution to your vase before placing the flowers in it. This will be even more effective if you cut off a little of the bottom of each stem, making it a diagonal cut.

Didn’t know you could use bleach like this huh?  I didn’t until recently.  🙂

Enjoy your flowers longer!
